Our yearly scholarship award is one small way we can give back and support our local communities by empowering indigenous youth, and creating opportunities in renewables for a sustainable future. Contact us if you would like to schedule a workshop customized to your organizations needs or school assembly presentation on renewables education & our scholarship award program.

The scholarship requires courses in the following areas of study (one of each):

  • Renewable Energy & Natural Resources (Minerals; Water preservation, treatment, and/or sourcing; etc.)

  • Indigenous Studies

  • Social Sciences (Business; Social Work; Economics; Finance; etc.)

Prerequisites will include: 

  • Grade average equal or above 75%

  • Passion for Renewable Energy and/or Natural Resource preservation and/or responsible development outlined in a 5 paragraph essay to be submitted with application (Will be posted on our website anonymously for contributors’ assessment.) 

  • Native Status or proof of equivalent to be submitted with application

Please note:

  • Tuition cost break down, course/program selection and additional fees breakdown required with submission (guidance counsellor can assist).

  • Tuition fees will be paid direct to the school of choice. Additional fees will be paid to the student or legal guardian for living expenses for a total of $10K. (Scholarship extensions for continuing years will be granted individually based on attendance and grade average.)

We have received feedback from guidance of both local island high schools to facilitate the best approach to empower our youth through this scholarship award process. We have implemented their suggestions and thank them for their support and feedback.

Application deadline is March 30, 2025.
